In this concert, Mercedes and Quimey will present music for voice and piano by Carlos Guastavino and Alberto Ginastera, whose aesthetic blends elements of the Romantic musical language with indigenous musical materials from their country. They write: “It is an honour for us to serve as ambassadors of this music, which may not be widely known but truly deserves to be heard.”
