Karandash play traditional Eastern European, Balkan, Ukrainian and klezmer folk music from the Danube to the Volga. At St Luke’s the band will combine balalaika, accordion, guitar and vocal harmonies to perform across genres spanning Rebetika, Macedonian dance, funeral ballads, Jewish wedding songs and gypsy folk.
